Each year the Virginia Network sponsors a statewide conference serving women in a wide range of roles in higher education, including graduate students. The annual conference is designed for women who serve the varied and diverse institutions and agencies of higher education in the Commonwealth and provides opportunities for networking, collaboration, and sharing information about the national, state, and regional issues affecting higher education today. The Network has been particularly interested in identifying and developing the careers of women from diverse backgrounds and five times has focused the annual conference on critical issues for women of color.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and Governor Northam’s stay-at-home order, we must cancel this year’s state conference. Please check back soon for information on upcoming opportunities to virtually connect with higher ed colleagues across the Commonwealth. At this time when we must physically distance, the Virginia Network is committed to forging opportunities to socially connect and network.
Visit the Virginia Network Annual Conference website here: www.virginianetworkconference.org. We will also be updating the conference site with upcoming opportunities. If you have questions, please contact Amy Springer Hartsell, State Chair. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
