Get Involved
There are several great ways to get involved with the Virginia Women’s Network:
Attend the Annual Conference
We host an Annual Conference at the end of May or the beginning of June. It’s an incredible opportunity to connect with professionals from across Virginia, engage with the Virginia Women’s Network, and explore how women in higher education are empowering one another.
Check out the Annual Conference Link for more information — we’d love to see you there!
Nominate Someone for the Network’s Outstanding Leadership Award
Each year, the Virginia Network recognizes an outstanding woman leader who has made significant contributions to higher education in Virginia. By recognizing outstanding women in Virginia higher education, we create an environment that supports the development and promotion of women leaders. Connect with or Become an Institutional Representative (IR)
Institutional Representative (IR) acts as a vital connector between their institution and the Virginia Women’s Network. The IR plays a key role as an advocate, communication liaison, and event planner. IRs also help facilitate the nomination process for our Senior Seminarians.

Become a Senior Seminarian
Initiated in 1987, the Senior Leadership Seminar series provides a forum to bring together emerging women leaders with established leaders in higher education in the Commonwealth. Learn more about this program here, and if you are interested in this professional development opportunity, reach out to your IR.
