Outstanding Leadership Award

The ACE Women's Network of Virginia’s Outstanding Leadership Award honors a distinguished woman leader who has made remarkable contributions to higher education in Virginia. This prestigious award celebrates an individual who has not only achieved success in her own career but has also dedicated herself to fostering the growth and advancement of other women in the field. Through this recognition, the Virginia Network for Women in Higher Education reaffirms its commitment to creating an environment that values and supports women leaders.
The recipient of this award exemplifies leadership, success, and service. She has set a high standard through her accomplishments and actions, serving as an inspiration to her peers and the next generation of women in academia. Her dedication to service goes beyond personal success, encompassing a broader vision of empowering women in higher education across the state.

 

The awardee has acted as a role model, demonstrating a commitment to the development of other women leaders. By mentoring, guiding, and supporting others, she has played an instrumental role in shaping the future of leadership in Virginia's higher education institutions. Eligible recipients include those who are currently employed by, or retired from, a Virginia institution of higher education. Through her contributions, the awardee embodies the values of the ACE Women’s Network of Virginia and exemplifies what it means to be a true leader in higher education.
