We are very excited to see you in Arlington for this year's annual Virginia Network conference, hosted by our colleagues at George Mason University. Below are important details to know before heading to the conference. Please know that this KBYG page will be updated daily as new details become available, so check back often!

 

• The conference will be held at Fuse located at GMU’s Mason Square campus at 3401 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, Virginia 22201. Please note that the conference will NOT be held at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia

• Parking: Visitor parking is available in the Van Metre Hall parking garage at the posted hourly rate. Details at bottom of this webpage.

• Attire: Business casual

• Hotel reminder: Check-in time for the Westin Arlington is 3:00pm 

• Media Release & Photography: Photos will be taken during the conference. If you prefer to not have your image captured, please let us know and we will provide you a star sticker to place on your name badge that will communicate to the photographer you do not want your picture taken.

• WI-FI Information: Guests have access to free Wi-Fi by connecting to the Mason network and accepting the terms in a browser OR by using eduroam.

• Accessibility: The Westin is accessible for individuals with disabilities. If you have questions beyond what is listed on the website, please contact the hotel directly.

• Lactation Space: A lactation space is located in Van Metre Hall, Room 323A, the lactation space offers a private space for individuals who are nursing. The lactation room is available on a first-come basis. There is a table, bench, chair(s), and a wall outlet.

• Pre-conference opportunity: On Thursday, June 4th, we encourage you to attend the conference networking event; 6:30pm-8:30pm at Fuse.

Parking: Use the on-campus parking garage in Van Metre Hall Garage, accessible behind Van Metre Hall right off Kirkwood Road.

Before You Arrive: Download the Metropolis app (app.metropolis.io) and set up your account with:
• Phone number
• License plate number
• Credit card information

When You Arrive: Drive into the garage — the cameras will detect your license plate and start your session automatically.

Getting to the FUSE Building: From the garage, follow these steps:
1. Take the elevator to Floor 1 (Van Metre Lobby).
2. Turn right from the elevators and walk past the information desk.
3. Continue straight down the hallway and enter the FUSE building.
